Even/odd analysis for Deriv
An even/odd contract pays out on whether the last digit of the final tick is even (0, 2, 4, 6, 8) or odd. This page tracks the split live over the window you choose, with the count for each digit beside it.
Over a long run the split is 50/50. Deriv pays a little under twice the stake on a winning even/odd trade, so you have to win more than half your trades to break even.
Common questions
How do Deriv even/odd contracts work?
You choose even or odd and a duration in ticks. If the last digit of the final tick matches your choice, you receive the payout. If it doesn't, you lose the stake.
What win rate do I need on even/odd to break even?
About 51%. At stakes of a few dollars Deriv pays roughly 1.95 times the stake, and the break-even win rate is the stake divided by the payout. Small stakes need a slightly higher rate because Deriv rounds payouts to the cent.
Does a long even streak mean odd is due?
No. Each digit is independent, so after five even digits in a row the next one is still even about half the time.
